Spring and Summer Positions Available.

Part-time seasonal-Farm Educators/Tour Guides and Summer Camp Counselors

 

We are looking for mature, dynamic, individuals who are dedicated to providing children and families with a memorable, hands-on farming experience.  In our educational programs you will teach groups about where food comes from through many different farming activities from gardening to animal interactions.

Qualifications

 

  • Have college experience and a passion for teaching about nature and animals.

  • Be comfortable speaking to large groups and the ability to teach, and work with children and handle farm animals.

  • Be able to work as a member of a team and also work independently, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creativity, open-mindedness, and flexibility.

 

Physical Requirement

 

This position requires the following:  walking uphill, bending, lifting, standing, sitting, reaching, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity. The work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather.

 

Farm Educators/Tour Guides

Part-time Seasonal:  March-May and September-November.  Additional times scheduled as needed. 

Hours and days are flexible but usually occur during the morning and early afternoon Monday through Friday. Some weekend hours of small group tours may also be available.

Summer Camp Counselors

 

Part-time Seasonal:  June and July. 

Hours are during the morning and early afternoon Monday through Friday.

 

 

Note: Individuals may apply and work both positions.

 

Interviews for both positions will begin in mid-March.  Farm Educators/Tour Guides will be trained beginning in mid-March.  Summer Camp Counselors will be trained in early June.
